Connie Fox, amazing wire jewelry artist and teacher is holding a new contest: the Be BOLD Bangle Contest !

Here's the description:
Would you like to show people just how innovative you are? You can do this by participating in the "Be BOLD Bangle" Contest. And, oh yes, there are prizes. What fun! The entries must be submitted during the month of July 2004. Only one entry per person - so, give it your best shot!

The bangle can be constructed with any type of wire, using any gauge or color. The size, scale, and style is purely up to you. If you prefer, please feel free to submit a cuff (not joined in the back). You are welcome to use beads or other objects, but the majority of your piece needs to be composed of wire. One more thing, please don’t’ use solder to make your piece (you may use components where the manufacturer has utilized solder – don’t want to get too picky after all.).

More information on the prizes, judges and other information can be found at Connie's site: Be BOLD Bangle Contest.

Wrapping Briolettes

This is a really nice tutorial on how to wrap briolettes (drop or pear-shapped beads), which have a side-drilled hole. It even includes how to make a cap for the brio.
