Ice Cream Machine

Inside the Student's vending area are three machines. One of the is this ice cream machine. I particularly like this machine for all the frozen icicles on it.

Tip: The icicles and frozen look were achieved by using a mix of texture work and geometry. The icicles were created using a displacement map over a plane. Individual icicles were placed all over the machine. The front panel has two different types of material: a metallic material and a mask with the white, frozen ice. I used an opacity (transparency) map to make the frost appear more on top of the machine than on the bottom.
